The Beantown Swing Orchestra is a premier 18-piece big band based in Boston, MA. Composed of elite young talent, the orchestra is dedicated to the authentic music of the Swing Era (1935–1946). By performing on period-accurate vintage instruments, the band recreates the sophisticated sound and vibrant energy of the 1930s and 40s.

The Beantown Swing Orchestra was founded in 2006. The band has been performing for nearly two decades.

We believe young musicians bring a natural energy and athleticism to swing music. Historically, iconic big bands often included musicians in their late teens and early twenties.

More than ever. Swing music brings people together through live music and dancing at public concerts, weddings, festivals and private events.
